"I'm hoping you'll see the proper us this Saturday," Ainsworth told BBC Radio Kent. "It's the league campaign. I've said judge me on this. I want to see a different Gillingham team that you haven't seen for a few years."
While Ainsworth acknowledges that personal attributes such as speed, intelligence, and bravery cannot be altered, he believes that the new signings will bring different attributes to the team. "The players I've signed have got different attributes this season, so I'm hoping you'll see a performance difference and an energy difference," he explained.
