Gillingham are set to accelerate their summer rebuild with the announcement of three new signings ahead of the start of the summer transfer window on Monday, June 15. The club has unveiled deals for James Brophy, Zane Albarus, and Will Goodwin, who will all join the Gills on two-year contracts. Brophy brings creative energy to the left of midfield, while big, hard-working forward Goodwin will be looking to make an impact. Albarus, meanwhile, will be tasting the Football League for the first time after moving from Brighton. With 14 players leaving at the end of last season, the Gills still have plenty more announcements to make. The club hasn't got a senior goalkeeper on the books and the only area where they look well-stocked is in the centre of midfield. Gillingham will be looking to use the loan route to bolster their squad, with Southampton's 23-year-old goalkeeper Ollie Wright one player who has been linked. Fans will be able to see some of the Gills' new faces for the first time when the pre-season schedule starts with a warm-up game at Dover in mid-July. The excitement will be building ahead of the new season, with fixtures announced 10 days from now, on Thursday, June 25. The Carabao Cup and Vertu Trophy draws are to be made on the same day. Gillingham's summer transfer window activity will be crucial in shaping their squad for the upcoming season. The club will be hoping to make the most of the transfer window, which closes at 11pm on Tuesday, September 1. The Gills will also be looking to avoid a busy winter transfer window, with the mid-season window for contracted player deals opening on Friday, January 1, 2027, and closing at 11pm on Monday, February 1.
